Organisations today face an increasingly complex and changing world. How do we make continuous improvement a part of our company’s culture and daily work in service, manufacturing or software organisations?
Many companies are aware of the need to continuously improve faster and better than their competitors. The best companies make improvement a habit that energises their people and helps them develop so that they can facilitate change through solving problems and making improvements every day.
Good habits are developed through introduction, then routine and practice.
The Kata Simulation is a hands-on workshop that mimics a typical workplace and enables a maximum of 12 participants to experience the power and motivation that is developed when rapid improvements are made by the people doing the work, when they practice an improvement routine.
Participants are introduced to the ‘business’ and allocated a role. A process is run for 5-10 minutes, data is collected and observations made. A coaching pattern is applied, actions agreed to and implemented, then the process is re-run. This continues throughout the day.
